FastTrack

An intermittent fasting tracker built around one idea the category usually skips: knowing when not to fast. The timer keeps counting correctly even if the phone was off for two days, the body-stage timeline says what is a general pattern rather than a promise, and the screening questions come before a plan is suggested, not after the subscription.

What it does

Features

A timer that cannot drift

Nothing counts down in the background. The app stores the moment you started and works out the elapsed time on every render, so closing the app, rebooting, changing time zone or losing battery for a day leaves the fast exactly where it should be.

Body stages, stated honestly

A timeline of what the literature associates with each stretch of a fast — glycogen, fat metabolism, autophagy — carrying the caveat that these are general patterns, not measurements taken from you. No disease claims, ever.

Screening before advice

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetes on medication, a history of eating disorders and other contraindications are asked up front. A flagged answer withholds the plan suggestion, and an eating-disorder history switches calorie and food logging off entirely.

Plans with a ceiling

16:8, 18:6, 20:4, one-meal days and custom windows — but nothing past a 20-hour eating-window ceiling, and anything over 18 hours needs a month of history first. A goal weight that would take you under a BMI of 18.5 is refused.

Today: water, hunger, meals

Water with your own glass size, a hunger journal for the hard hours, meals and weight in the same place — all of it optional, none of it nagging.

Weight and history charts

Weight trend, completed and broken fasts, streaks and averages drawn natively for smooth scrolling, in kilograms or pounds.

Health Connect

Weight and steps read from and written to Android's Health Connect — one source of truth on the phone, and permission you grant per data type. Google Fit is not used.

One widget, your metrics

Put one to four readings on the home screen — fast timer, current stage, water, weight, steps or streak. A metric with no reading disappears from the widget instead of showing a fake zero.

Recipes and articles

Eating-window recipes and explainer articles come from our server, so the library grows without you installing anything. Every health article carries its disclaimer.

Meal scanner

Point the camera at a plate or a barcode to log it. Optional, and separate from the rest of the app — it is the only part that costs anything to run.

Eight languages

English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic, with right-to-left layout. Units and dates follow the language, not the other way round.

No ads, no funnel

No advertising SDKs, no 50-screen onboarding, no countdown discounts and no cancel maze. The final release is one payment; the scanner is the only subscription.

Installing the beta

Outside the store
  1. Download the APK on the Android phone itself, using the button above.
  2. Allow the install. Android asks permission to install from this source the first time — accept it for your browser and the install continues.
  3. Open it and answer the onboarding — age, goal and the screening questions. It takes a minute and decides what the app will and will not suggest.
  4. Grant Health Connect access only if you want weight and steps shared with the rest of your phone. Everything else works without it.

This build is for 64-bit phones (arm64), which covers essentially every Android device sold in the last several years. It is a test build: store billing is not wired in yet, so nothing can be purchased and nothing is charged. There is no iPhone build to download yet — the iOS version goes through the App Store when it ships.

Health & safety

Where the app stops

Not medical advice

FastTrack is a tracker. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and it makes no weight-loss promises or timelines. Talk to a doctor before changing how you eat — especially if you take medication.

18 and over

A birth year under 18 blocks the app, with no override and no remote switch. Fasting guidance for a growing body is not a call we are qualified to make.

Eating disorders

If you report a history of one, calorie and food-logging features stay off and no fasting plan is proposed. The app does not try to talk you out of the answer.

No guilt mechanics

A broken fast is recorded as a fact, not a failure. There are no streak-shaming notifications and no review prompt after a fast you did not finish.

Privacy

What leaves your phone

Your log stays local

Fasts, weight, water, meals and the onboarding answers are stored in a database on the device. Nothing is published, shared or shown to anyone else — there is no social feed.

What the server sees

The app fetches recipes and articles from our server, and — if you use it — sends the photo you scan to have the meal recognised. No advertising or analytics SDKs are bundled.

Health Connect

Access is granted by you, per data type, in Android's own permission screen, and can be revoked there at any time. Health data is not sent to our server.

No account required

You can use the tracker without signing up. An account exists only to carry your data to a second device if you ask for it.

Studio policy: Privacy Policy.
